T5 pedals sensors

Does anybody know the part#'s for the neutral safety and the reverse light sensors on the pedals? Any trick in wiring these? I am converting my 88 Iroc from 700R4 to T-5. Thank you for your help, Mark

Re: T5 pedals sensors

Not sure about part number for safety neutral switch but I do know the reverse light switch is on the side of the transmission

Re: T5 pedals sensors

The reverse light switch is located on the driver's side of the trans case. All you have to do is figure out which two wires running to your auto shifter are for the reverse lights, and just extend them down to the switch, and splice the correct connector on. As far as the safety neutral switch, you can find one pretty easily on a 6 cylinder, manual trans car at the junkyard usually. Personally, I'd just splice the two safety neutral wires together and not worry about the switch. You'd have to be pretty absent-minded to try and start the car without the clutch pushed in anyways. I've had it bypassed on my 69 Camaro for almost 20 years, and never once accidentally tried to start the car without the clutch pushed in. The two safety neutral wires are usually heavy gauge, yellow and purple colored wires, and they'll also be located in the plug going to your auto shifter.

Re: T5 pedals sensors

Take a look at the wire harness that went into the automatic shifter. The two largest wires are for the neutral saftey switch. The two wires below that are for the reverse lights.

As for the neutral switch here you go, 6 bucks.
