well i dropped a new engine in my camaro, its got a 700r4 (which i did not take out with the old motor) now, i can't get it to go in any gear no matter where the shifter is, i have observed the shifter linkage at the tranny moving when the shifter was moved...does this mean my engine is not nailed on the tranny right? even though it looked right and all the bellhousing bolts went in fully? or is my tranny dead? btw the engine was in a manual car so i swapped the flexplate over so that shouldn't be the problem...the transmission (been sitting for about a year) was working perfectly before..
