How long does it take to fry a tranny while leaking ATF???
Last week my fan cut a hole in my tranny cooler hose. I drove about 1.5 miles to my house By the time i realized smoke was filling the car. After i fixed the hose, it took about 4 Qts. to fill it back up. The fans blew ATF fluid all over the engine bay. It took 3 hours to wipe it all down, but the engine bay looks good. That stuff is like armor all!
The car seems to shift okay now, but it seems like it really winds out before it shifts. It only does this when i really get on it from a slow speed. It almost feels like i have to let off the gas for it to upshift. I never had to do that before. Its my stock tranny w/ a shift kit. Should i readjust my TV cable?
