Metric 200c Question
Hey all,
I have an 82 T/A with the carb and metric 200c trans. I ripped off all the emissions stuff, and pulled the ECM and harness out of the car. I am swapping the ECM controlled Distributer for a vacuum advanced on and all that. My question is, while taking out the ECM control harness for the Q-Jet and Distributer, I cam across two wires that lead down to the trans, in doing some research on the Metric 200c i found that they have a lock up converter that was computer controlled? Being only a 3-speed trans i found this odd, anyways what's a guy to do in order to correct this problem, i don't intend on swapping out the trans anytime soon since it works great.....and suggestions?
Nick

Re: Metric 200c Question
The lock-up function isn't as important on a non-O/D transmission. If you wanted to keep it, you could figure out a way to control it the same way you would for a 700R4.

Re: Metric 200c Question
MY CONVERTER DOESN'T LOCK UP. I NOTICE HIGHER RPMS AT CRUISING SPEED AND WORSE GAS MILEAGE.
