Did anyone go from 3:23s to 4:11s ?

I can buy a whole 92 rear-end with 4:11s in it for 100 bucks if I pull it. Did anyone go from 3:23s to 4:11s ? How much of a difference does it make ? THanx

Blade, when I went from 2.77s to 3.73s, it made a ton of difference. Obviously the lower gear(higher numerically) would respond well to intake mods. I've seen articles where 2.77 gears have a lower ET and higher MPH than the same car with lower gears on stock TPI motors. Thats obviously not the case in a car that has an ugraded intake setup(mini-ram or super ram). So, in short, if you're running a stock TPI setup, I would stick with the gears you have. If youre running a good aftermarket intake setup, you'll be greatly rewarded with the rear gear swap.

I have '89 Iroc that I made the switch in. I went from a 3.08 to 4.10. Night and day difference. Changing the rearend gear is by far the best bang for the buck.If you have a 5-speed it is even more fun.

Will get you into the high 12's EASY IF you can hook-up the tires. Make sure it is posi or put a posi in it. If you don't, you will be one-lighting all day with those gears. Will need sticky tires if you don't already have them.

Plus, if you don't like it, sell it for $125 bucks... Heee hee
