Price on T5 WC?

Price on T5 WC?
So I was calling around to wrecking yards today to so if I can get a price on a T5 WC and was wondering if $500 is a good deal for one?
They said it came out of a 88-92 305 Camaro so it's got to be a WC right? Can't remember wait year the guy said it was though.
Then I called another place and one guy said he had a manual transmission from a 80's camaro but not sure what year exactly and said he would take $150 for it not sure if I want to risk getting that one or not.

I got an entire WC 5 speed swap for $500 just by posting an article in the WTB section of this forum, so I am sure you could get a better deal than that.

There is plenty info on identifying a WC vs one that isn't here on thirdgen.org.
Also, what dos it cost to rebuild one? While my WC T5 works, it sometimes kicks out of 2nd... and has a bunch of miles... so take that into account... you may have to rebuild it..
