How to do a pressure check on my 700R4?
I need to do a pressure check on my 88 700R4. Can someone give me step by step instructions on how to do it, and what parts, if any, are needed?
Thanks,

You will need a quality pressure gauge. This means Snap-On. Any others and you run the risk of making a BIG mess when it comes apart. You will also probably need some 1/8 pipe fitting adapters to get the hose on the side of the tranny.
Once you have this setup, do this: Check pressures in all ranges, writing down the readings. Make a column for idle, fast idle and fast idle with the TV pulled full. If you see in any range that pressures are not steady, put a check next to it so you know.
