700R4 - Starting in 2nd gear while in D - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

Hey everyone, After rebuilding my tranmission, it seems to be taking off in 2nd gear while in the drive position, if i put it into Manual 1, it will take off in first then shift into 2nd, but in D it takes off in 2nd, the rest of the shift are working like they should be and everyting else seems to be fine? I took the governor out and made sure the valve was free in there, its a brand new vette govrnor but checked it anyways, Any ideas? Thanks in advance

check the govenor maybe sticking
