identifying older TCS converter

I just pulled the original motor/trans (700R4) from my 85 and I found a TCS torque converter in there. There are 2 stickers on the converter. One says "balanced by TCS" and the other say "TCS 1991". I never got to drive the car due to motor failure so I cant say what it might be but the motor that came out was mostly stock. Any ideas?
