T56 swap and a what to do with a stop lamp switch?
Im swapping a LS1+T56 to a '87 Iroc. Original 5.7tpi and th700 car.
Im using 4th gen pedal assembly and all the 4th gen pedals switches.
(Sold all my 3rd gen auto pedals and switches, so Im stuck with 4th gen stuff, stupid me)
Everything else is clear, but... Stop lamp switch.
3rd gen stop lamp switch has 3 wires:
-Blu DK (stop lamp supply voltage, circuit number 20)
-Orn. (Batt.pos.voltage, circuit number 140)
-Yel (goes to stop lamps, circuit number 820)
4th gen T56 stop lamp has 2 connectors, 1 with 2 wires, they are:
-Blu LT (stop lamp supply voltage)
-Orn (batt.pos.voltage)
So these are easy enough even for me. Blue for blue and orange for orange.
Another connector in 4th gen T56 stop lamp switch has 4 wires. If I remember correctly. (All my books are in garage)
I checked them, and seems to me that the yellow wire doesn't go there??
So the question is where to connect the yellow wire? Im sure people have used the 4th gen stop lamp switches in these swaps.
My swap is coming along very nicely, this is almost the last question mark with the wiring...
