need help identifing 4th gen rear end

Car: 89 FORMULA 350 / 1991 RX7
Engine: 5.7 L98 / LT1
Transmission: 700R4 / 6 speed manual
Axle/Gears: 3.42 posi / 4.11 posi
need help identifing 4th gen rear end

ok guys i just got a rear end out of a car at the junk yard. the rpo sticker was long gone. I just could not it pass up. I need to determine the gear ratio. here are a few things that may or may not help. any help would be great thanks

1997 firebird 3800 engine
automatic trans
rear disc brakes

white sticker has a barcode, & 0625126

axle stamp on passenger side tube 7PS 6 2691
* The 6 could be the letter C

The surest way is to pop the cover and take a peek. The 10-Bolt FAQ will provide info about ring/pinion and tooth count.

7PS is an axle code; PS used to be 2.41 posi in the 1970s; I think they are now 3 digits & refer to groupings of RPOs collectively (such as a 2.73 disc rear w/ traction control and limited slip would have a different axle code than a 2.73 disc rear w/ limited slip)

6 should be the assembly plant; could it be G? (used to mean Detroit)

Just rotate the brake rotor, watch the pinion & count the rotations of each. That will tell you the gear ratio without having to open up the cover.
