my daily has some issues.
at around highway speed, 50 or so I go to goose it to pass slow drivers and everytime i do, it down shifts and then as im holding the gas pedal down hard to pass it bogs down.( this occurs when the car is creeping up on 65 70 and even had it happen sometimes at 80mph) depending on how hard im mashing the gas pedal it stutters and bogs and doesnt wanna shift into 4th gear.

so i let off the gas all the way and then ease back on it lightly and then it does its thing normally into 4th... is the trans definitely defective?
i hope its not a catastrophe. i spend 99% of the time under 2-2500 rpm grand putt-putting around town and it shifts thru all the gears just find and dandy under normal cruising and easy pedaling. Why does it act up when i wanna gun it at a roll?
Im tempted to take it back to the trans shop that says the trans was fine and take them on a test drive with me this time around. im getting fed up with this,
anyone with expertise with these trans or this condition please dont hesitate to reply with some helpful advice. Thanx

some 700R4 trans won't allow full throttle upshifts from 3rd to 4th gear, you have to be at somewhere around 2/3rds throttle or less for a 3rd to 4th gear shift. If your car is not upshifting and running ok (not bogging), then your trans is shifting how it is supposed to. Mine also did that. There is a part that you can get that was around 30 to 40 last time I checked several years ago that will allow full throttle upshifts.
