Gears...
My 87 TA with the lg4 has the stock 2.73 rear end.
I was looking in the summit magizine today... they have new gears for around 200 bucks.
What kind of rear end do i have is it 10 bolt 12 bolt or what?
I've heard that you need to match the rear end with the cam you have... with a new motor my cam is going to be a 4.88 intake and 4.8X exhuast... how do i match the rear end with the cam... i was looking at some 3.42's.... any help would be nice!

Also you'll need to buy an intall kit with it about another $100.

I'm not sure of the power band of that cam, but say the cam/intake stop making power at 6,000 rpms, well if you're concerned about 1/4 then you wouldn't want to pick gears like 4:56s that would make you run past your power band before the finish line. You want your gears to keep you in your powerband, so first figure at what rpm your car stops producing power and go from there. Also a TC also plays a role in selecting a cam too.
