Difference between 7.5 and 7.625 ring gears

Would somebody please tell me if I can install a 3.42:1 ratio 7.625" ring and pinion set onto a 7.5" limited slip carrier that now has a 3.23:1 gear set?
I can get the 3.42 for cheap cheap, and couldn't find any answers, so I thought I'd throw it on the board.
Thanks

They'll both fit on the same size carrier. GM only increased the size of the ring gear slightly. Nothing else changed.

Fantastic:rockon:
I thought it was that way from checking catalogs and what
other info I could find, but I wanted a definite answer before
I started the project.
Thank you very much for the help
