problems for a 88 2.8

are the any specific problems related to a 2.8 from a 88 camaro?

Car: '99 Trans Am, '86 Camaro
Engine: LS1, Scrap
Transmission: T56, T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Stock ZT, 3.42 Open
As far as I know, 87-89 are pretty free of quirks.

EDIT -- Oh, the motor alone. No. That's a large-journal internally balanced 2.8. preferable to 86 and earlier 2.8s.

Transmission: underfloor
Sort of like the old 250 inline sixes- they ain't much on power, but keep the oil changed and they'll run forever, we have several on the board with 200,000 plus.

The only things I can really think of on these is the distributor "O" ring oil leak that gets blamed on a rear main seal.

ok no major problems to look for ,that's good news. i have a 88 from a camaro to swap into a s10. thanks again
