v6 engine number location photo
Does anyone have a photo of where their rngine number is on their v6?
I have a 1982 V6 camaro and i cannot find the engine number anywhere, ive searched the manual and cant find it where its says it should be, it would be great if someone has a photo of where theirs is. just block out the engine number if you like i just need to see the location, thanks even if its a photo of the whole engine with an arrow poiting to where it is thanks.

Re: v6 engine number location photo
I looked in my Haynes and looked on my car and found it where ti said it was but I had to take a rag and wipe it off to get the oil and gunk off to see the engine number it shuold be behind the timeing cover just to the driver side of the engine . Lookfor a flat spot behind the timeing cover where the empty bolt hole isat the top .

Yeah it was where 89-bird said. Pretty much just underneath the aircon pump.
I didnt find it but i had to get the numbers checked to register it here in australia and they found it with a bit of scraping, he said it was rusted over thats why i couldnt find it
