cold start injector wire color matching

Car: 89 f-bird and some others
Engine: 3.4
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42
cold start injector wire color matching
Harness is tan and brown.
Plug I got from the junkyard is purple and brown.
Chiltons shows purple and tan.
What do you all think? Hook up brown to brown and purple to tan?
My old plug is gone. I think it's ok either way, but I'm not completely sure.

Purple to purple and whatever else to whatever else. Purple is the power wire coming from the CRANK circuit. If you do it backwards, the CSI isn't going to open.

Hmmm. I'll double check, but the two wires coming from the harness are tan and brown.
I'll search my toolbox some more and see if I didn't save the broken connector that I cut off. Or just extend the wires so I can get to them after installing the distributor, and then I can test for voltage while cranking it.

The one wire is probably dirty. Only 2 wire colors in the circuit, purple and tan (power wire running to underdash connector is purple with white stripe, but you don't need to worry about that ATM).
