I said goodbye to my Gen3
After serving me well as a grocery getter and parts picker-upper, I traded my 88 V6 in for a newer Camaro.
While I liked my Gen3, I'd wanted a Gen5 ever since I first saw 'em.
This one's a 2SSRS, completely loaded; 426hp and 6-speed manual trans. It's a 2010 with 19k miles on it. Not quite a grocery getter, but one hell of a lotta fun!
We'll see if it can get into the 130 Club on the salt flats in Septermber, but first, it'll take a trip to the Rat Fink Reunion (I've been attending and photographing that one for the last 10 years) at which time I'm hoping to get Greg 'Coop' Cooper to lay some heavy-duty stripes on it. He did my old rat truck (64 C10), my bass and and some other stuff. He's a good dude.
Onward and upward.
