Problems with bypassing power sterring pump?
Okay, here's the story. This weekend I changed the timing chain and water pump on my 3.1, the job wasn't nearly as quick and easy as everyone makes out to be. Anyway. This morning I got up and was headed to work when my power steering pulley slid itself halfway off the pump, and consiquently tore itself up enough that I'll need a new one.of both.
Anyway, I've pulled off the power steering pulley, and picked up a 96.25 inch belt in order to bypass the power steering entirely. So my question is, will driving without the powersteering pump/pulley cause any problems, or prematurely wear anything? I've got to go to work tomorrow and its an 80+ mile round trip, so of I'm not going to blow up my engine I can handle muscling the car around for now lol
Thanks!
-Michael
Here's how the belts routed now, if it matters.

I've driven without the power steering hooked up before and didn't damage anything that I can tell. Sure is difficult to turn in a parking lot though. Lifts me out of my seat almost
