85CamaroRulz, you should be able to find a 3.4 for that money. But then I don't know your area. Look a little more. I can get a 3.4 w/28k for $750. just waiting on W2s to do tax return.

something to put a smile on your face while you wait:

I am gonna take my time cuz my car is parked for the winter due to the part of area I live in, I live in the Pocono Mountains of PA. We just got about a foot and a half of snow here last week so to begin with I ain't gonna take it out anyway till about late March or beginning of April so that gives me plenty of time.
ANYONE KNOW ANYBODY SELLING A CHEAP 2.8 OR 3.4

i got a 2.8 from a front weel drive mpfi minus the fuel injection. but the shipping would make it way too expensive for u. CA-PA.. not good for an engine.

im 99.9% sure it would. the only reason i didnt use it in my maro is the heads were different and i couldnt use the intake and carb from my 83 with it. i also believe thatits a lower hp and torque rating. 100hp at the flyweel. i would hate to drive that f-body.

Also, KED85 brought up an issue regarding the starter.

HI Tom,
ACtually, I assumed I could just "Post it" there.
Not knowing any better & I could stil call it back, to help out others, i left it "there".
IF you know how to put that thread into tech section, educate me, please.
The FWD. ANY 60* V-6 FWD. ANY SIZE ENGINE, TOO.
NO, DON't waste a SECOND considering it.
Starter location, heads, exhaust, etc,
ALL DIFFERENT.
To different for the effort.
Honest.
I was just in Hawley & White Mills. My Parents live there. I just missed that 8" of snow. We left Monday for Philly. I saw several third gens in yards as I passed by them, off of Route 6 I believe. Even some down the Jersey way (by Milford).
You shouldn't have much of a problem finding a 60* V-6. Hell, if I could find a 1956 Chevy 2 door post & a 1930 Ford Model A with engine, in the woods, out there, you can find a 60* V-6 that runs..
