They're called 2x6's, you cut them up and place one in front of each tire, then drive up one them. Now your car is almost 2 inches taller. Need taller still, nail 2 together staggering them about 6 inches on the leading edges, backsides flush.

You should be able to order them form a parts store...I konw the local APM sells them. They are expensive but they have a really low profile front

Look for the brand name "Lincoln". Sorry i'm not sure exactly where to find it but i've read about it in Vette magazine. The Lincoln jack is about 1.5" lower than a standard Craftsman floor jack. Maybe try Pep boys or Ramchargers.

Here's something I do...

I lift the car with my Bare Hands! The struts get a preload to 'em, and raise the car an inch. I go to one front fender, and lift up in the center. Then I go to the other, and lift. Then I do them both once more- and then I can slide the jack underneath the front. Since the car isn't traveling over a bumpy road, the struts aren't bouncing- and that bouncing is what returns the car to "normal" height.

Kandied91, There's a company called Griot's garage that sells the type of jack you're looking for. It's an ultra low profile 2 ton floor jack. The saddle is only 2 3/4" high and raises to 18 1/4". The drawback that I see is the price of $389.00 plus $10.00 shipping. They also have lots of other tools and car care products. If you're interested order their catalog (free) their website is
www.griotsgarage.com. Ph. 800-345-5789. I hope this helps!!

This is the jack you want, or one like it. I got a similar Chinese one, but 2.5 tons and about 1/2" higher at the local farm supply store. When you take the swivel off it will be an inch lower.
