i want to put a better cam in my 86 firebird with a 350. Anyone know a good company who isnt too expensive? which is the better type(roller, hydrolic,etc...) and what size should i get? Will I need a torque converter with a higher rpm? i know som crane cams suggest a 2500 rpm converter for their cams, all advice is useful. thanks

In my opion Comp Cams has the very best tech line of any cam company. Give them a call, tell them what you want to do and the combo your running and they can tell you the camn you need. Hydralic roller is the best for the street, but cost more, so it really depends on your budget as to what way you go. On the torque converter side, it will all depend on what size of cam you get as to what kind of converter you will need to get.
