I've had mine replaced twice already. It was mainly due to me leaving the battery in for an extended amount of time without turning it over. No questions asked, hell I didn't even have a receipt.

Check with Interstate also. They sell a battery that is the exact same thing as the Optima except it says Interstate on it. Both are made by the same company.

The Optima battery doesn't really have a lot of CCA's compared to other batteries. The only real advantage to these batteries is the fact that they were originally intended for drag racing with their dry cells which didn't leak acid under vibration, so your battery tray will forever stay in good condition. I still prefer EXIDE's 700CCA front termal battery which is available with a 9 year warranty (pro-rated) and 3 years free.....

My Dad swears by the Optima's however...he has one in his Chevy II and one in his Street Rod, but because they aren't daily drivers, the batteries tend to go bad easily when they're just sitting.

I also like the optimas. While my camaro was out of commission for about 6 months I didn't even have to charge the battery, just hooked it up and it started right up. Can't beat that, especially since in the colder climates these cars aren't driven 6-8 months at a time anyway.
