Head and header combo?
I have Dart Iron Eagle heads, straight plug design and SLP 1-5/8 heasers. There is barely enough room to keep from burning the spark plug boots... and thats with the shorty plugs. With standard length plugs the spark plug boots touch the headers!
Does anyone have these heads, and what headers fit well?

Almost any chevy small block, especially with third-gen style headers is barely going to have room for anything, the outside dimentions of NEARLY all the heads that you could use are going to only be within fractions of fractions of a inch of eachother... the big difference is angled or straight plug holes... the only thing that I could suggest is SLIGHT tapping in the sides of the headers for a TINY bit more room, and using HEAT PROTECTORS on the plugs..
GOOD LUCK

I plan on getting a set of the Ultra Ceramic wires because of this proximity issue with the headers. I'm hoping they solve the problem, or at least make it managable.

Thanks for the feedback, I was just wondering if someone happened to stumble across a combo that worked better. I know there was a ton more room with stock heads than with the Iron Eagles, I'm just glad no one said that I should have bought the angle plug heads instead... that would aggrivate me.
I was looking at the ceramic plug wires, but at $180 for the 90d set I kinda want proof that they'll really do the trick.
