Ok guys....
How the hell should I pick out heads and a cam (especially when I personally dont know what works and what doesnt!)???

Everyone says something different!

I've never done this before, so what I'd love is a "recipe" for success. I need to trust someone to pick out parts for me.

"Traxxion" seems to have a killer setup. Running 12.20's with s STOCK bottom end. He's got heads (afr's), cam, mini-ram, and the other bolt-ons and tuning to make the setup work.

I'd love to copy his setup minus the mini-ram and add it a few months down the line

Well look at the guys running the fasest and compare what they run. I personally say you cannot beat the AFR 190's for a mild car. I personally wish i woulda went with the afr 220's but thats before i wanted to go 9's.

So AFR 190's, Lingenfelter 219 cam (smog legal), Superram or miniram, 52/58mm throttlebody, 1 3/4 long tubes, 3.40-3.73 gears, and a 3000 vigilante converter
