Believe they're made in the US. Not sure though. I have one and it's awesome, though.

As long as it works great and doesn't break whats it matter? Maybe that is just me. I normally buy US stuff when I can, but i am not super picky on it...

Most aftermarket stuff for f-bods and stangs are owned, desinged, made, and distributed here in the good ol' USA.

You will love it. I am serious. It is just unreal how brutal and cool this shifter is. It clinks, it is heavy, has stops and doesn't flex one tiny bit (you can almost feel the tranny move in the mount if you shift hard enough). The throw from first to second is roughly 3 inches of travel. You will never miss a shift.

Just look at it.

Cool I will be using a hurst pistol grip shift handle........(**** would not be a good choice of description) on this shifter. As it is untried in car I might have to shorten it ,but I have complete machine facilities at my disposal. We shall see.

Has anyone swapped out the stock Tremec TKO shifter for the Pro 5.0? I'm wondering if its even worth it. I imagine there is a huge different from a stock T-5 shifter but I'm curious if it is as big with the already aftermarket TKO shifter?

Last I knew, the pro 5.0 shifters were made in New Jersey. Depending on where you are from, that is usually considered part of the United States

I picked up that pistal grip handle from Jegs and put it on about 3 weeks ago. I have a hurst shifter. It is very tall. I feel like I am driving a dump truck. It makes shifter way long. You will need to cut it down. I am thinking of just going back to the ball. But it just looks very cool.

Cut 1 inch off of the top threaded portion of the stick and it's the perfect shifter!

Yup indeed. If you even want to go lower you can buy what is called the lou's short stick. It is a super low shifter handle for the pro 5.0 and allows you to go lower than the included handle without cutting past the threads. Now if you have access to a lathe you can basically do whatever you want with the handle.

Dude, I cut like 2.5 inches off of my Pro 5.0 because I kept punching the radio block off plate (thats right baby, UL5). Then I hammered on a Mustang Cobra leather 5 speed ****. Now my shifter sticks like 1 or 1.5 inches above the shift plate, and it feels like a million bucks!

By the way, the cobra shift **** is SOOO much nicer that the stock 3rd gen or any other **** for that matter. It is real leather, with real stiching, and is like $45 new from the Ford dealer.
