5.7 Vortecs

My fresh 2000 vortec short block, just thot id brag about it

10243880...350...years 95-00...2 or 4 bolt...Vortec truck, Gen.I crate motors and "ZZ4", roller cam, one piece rear seal

my plan was to build a 4 bolt mane block, but just after boreing decking and all the machine work id already have 500 into just the block, so instated i shot for cheaper and got better then just cheap i got an awesome deal got this vortec fresh for $265 dollars
+ 145 shipping witch i think i did really well on, any one else score any deals like this on the 5.7 vortecs? are you happy with them

wanna see if you will trade it for a....78 GMC four wheel dravvv

its got rims onit, i was lookin in wheels and deals here...
new fasteners on the front, inner outer, new hood

four wheel low....four wheel high...two wheel low...two wheel high

small, square, runs good. Pickup truck, its got a 350 four bolt main.....fires like 'at

I envy you greatly... Where did you find this at for that awesome price?

I would disassemble and double check the assembly/do it myself just because I got it so cheap...

Not to be mistrusting, but better safe than sorry. Plus it's great to know all about your motor down to the last bolt, and to KNOW everything has been torqued to specs and prelubed generously.

EXAMPLE: My father recently bought a 350 block to redo... Upon inspection I realized it was bored .060 over already (thats the LIMIT on SBC's).

He didn't want to spend on another block and already had most of the components and an entire rotating assembly (save timing set and cam) put in it.

I ripped it apart anyways, and found they had re-used the old cam bearings in it AFTER the block had been hot tanked and had ruined the bearings!

Saved him a whole bunch of money he would have spent 10,000 miles down the road on a new cam. (IF it would've even lasted that long!)
