Do electric superchargers really work?
Just wondering if any of the electric superchargers work. I doubt it, nor would I try it, but i'm still interested. I just saw ones for $160 on ebay, it's operated from a switch, it claims like 12-43 horse. I call

Just kick me the money and I will sell you a hair dryer motor and both of us will be happy. It is seriously the same thing. A restriction more then anything.

i have this crazy mad powerful electric leaf blower, i mean this thing really blows!! at full blast it will slowly posh itself across the floor, maybe i could get an inverter and a blower cap for my carb and rig that up

ive heard bad things about these superchargers. one of the most interesting things is that if you run it longer than 15 seconds it overheats and dies, then if you run it over 15 secs it voids the warranty, haha thats not enough to get some cars across the finish line, also i heard that the plastic fan blades come off and go inside your engine and completly destroy your motor

An electric fan is not designed to, nor can it, create pressure. So, if you remove a restrictive factory air intake and replace it with this "e-charger" of course it picks up power. The thing is that all the power gain is due to removing the restrictive factory intake piping......
also, 95% of the the ones you see can be bought (minus the sticker) from a boat store for around $30. They're made for intermitten running to pull fumes from the engine compartment.
