New cam

Has anyone heard anything abut the new Thumpr cam from compcams? http://www.thumprcams.com/

The sound clips sound nasty and are the kind of Idle I'm looking for in a cam. Anyone know anyhting about them yet? It's either one of these or a lunati voodoo for me.

If you click on another link on that page it will bring you to the specs.

Hehehehehehehe. Reminds me of the Flowmaster mufflers. More for the sound than the performance.

It's crazy to buy a cam based on the sound it's supposed to give.. Have you looked at the specs to see whether or not it'll work with your combo?

I took a look, & if you're going to order one, you'll probably need a carb'd combo (factory TPI ECM won't work with the 107* LSA) & fairly deep pockets - because it's a retrofit hyd-roller cam, they're asking about $370 for it...

But then, I'm the type to want my car really quiet when it's really quick...

I already have a carb'ed setup. I wasn't too interested in the cam I just thought it was something new so I would post and see what others thought about it. Especially since the link has sound clips too.
