Yes it does match the Camaro console better. but it looks good. Thank you for the pics. it looks like a very clean install.

Re: Megashifter questions...
Well if it only took you an hour to put it in, you are one hell of a mechanic.........Took me most of the afternoon..I still dont have the indicator working right, but I like it overall........BTW, mr cars wires were a different color than what the directions said, so I spent some time figuring out the wiring.......Tom
then you have the shifter install. 2 holes if i remember. (using a few factry holes)has well. another 1 1/2 hr to look nice.
the set up to make it work 100% right takes 2 guys one in car one under car 20 min.. thats the easy easy part.
loop in the cable should sit ontop of tranny no less the 14" in dimtr.
about 3 hrs from start to finnish. with a 100% all lights/bells working.
make sure you get the right switch from Radio shack. they tell you to get. has soon has you look close it will all come together.
this is a 18 year old install. rust on small bolt head is from sitting the last 10 years.
its getting a redo this spring..

Re: Megashifter questions...
i have this shifter and when i move it, it seems like it wants to pull the console with it? i had to make a steel plate for a cover as all the corners were broke off my plate cover. but is there something i can do to fix it? maybe weld a support in or something?

Re: Megashifter questions...
they send you out to radio shack fo a relay switch. but thats it.
Now sleeper. is all the bolts that hold your shifter in place?
i would ask you to go take a look ant the Pics at the start of this post and make sure your shifter is/has all the floor bolts on/in it.
it takes a snug push pull to work the mega shifter...Not Firm/Hevy.
if your pulling the housing with shifter i bet your not bolted in right.
and remember the parking notch. will have the red bar about midle. Not at the top..(see pics)
and the install can be done with just the top plate removed.. (thats how i do them)
any parts that you need /broke/lost/refresh you can get from summit or B&M.
FROM $3 TO $20 Bucks (ball park) some more some less

Re: Megashifter questions...
it pulls up the console because a part of the shifter is coming up and hitting the console. you really need to move the back mounting part back. i bet if you pull of the cover and do the shifter (mostly when your ratcheting back from OD to D, or D to 2nd) you'll see it hit. others have taken a hammer and beaten down the rear mounting points on the stock floorboard or modified them. Mine does this I got used to it but I need to fix it right. I am going to make an aluminum plate that bolts in under the shifter with a slot for it to kick up.

Re: Megashifter questions...
Took me about 4 hours. My issue was the shift dial indicator. I couldn't get that to work no matter what I tried. I thought that was the only real drawback of the product.

Re: Megashifter questions...
This is my second install of it cuz I change out the beaten up console. Got everything back together, light is only thing giving me problems. They way I have mounted it on that back screw, I'm not happy with the amount of lighting getting to selector. Seems to be getting blocked out by black bracket that holds selector slides on.
