August 1991 featured a factory modified SLP trans am with an SLP chip, headers, exhaust, cold air induction and a full warranty. It mirrored Corvette acceleration runs and would make a nice addition to the "articles" section which seems dominated by Camaro articles. It showed great potential for the venerable L-98 which I think has proven to be a great engine when given room to breathe. What the LT1 picks up in HP it gives up at the stoplight in torque.

Ive got that issue and was one of the reasons why I fell in love with GTA's.That car was actually a mid 13 sec car not low 14's like they got(14.1) but I'm sure they just roasted the stock tires.I know because I've pretty much got the same car(minus headers plus torque conv)It shows that you can Knock almost a full sec of yor ET's with perfect balance,and without digging in to the motor.
