Re: summit gear sets

i THINK they are reboxed richmond.
they wont tell you ,but i have some whine on deceleration. its a 4.33, so its known for a bit of noise, but add richmond to the mix, and there you have it.

id buy a motive. quiet, and not much more than the summit.

Re: summit gear sets

I bought a set last week. On sale for $87! The installation papaers that came with the r&p are from "A-Tech Motorsports". "Congratulations on your purchase of a new A-Tech Motorsports ring & pinion set." Never heard of them. I do like the Summit Racing sticker over the A-Tech label on the box...... It doesnt even cover the whole label.

Re: summit gear sets

I had them in my 92 Z28 and they made the trans (T-5} make noise. My guy who did the work said Richmond gears did the samething in another car that he did. I called s Summit and they said they the gears where Richmond. I sent them back to Summit and got Motive gears put in the car and the Trans (T-5) is quite. Jim
