looking for a mini starter since mine gave out. clearence is minimal and would like to upgrade for this reason. this is a local company whih means i could pick up and would save me time. plus price is good. i have stockish 350 so main reason for a mini would be size, weight and ease of installing and removing anyone have any feedback wih this product/company

Have'nt bought from them before, but they look legit. With money back garranty. You aint got much to loose, especially if you can will call.Doesnt where in cali, but by the 7.75% tax.Id say its OC.Its 100% new starter & are'nt most GM starters nippodenso anyway.Id give it a try if i was looking for one.I was looking at their water pumps & they look tempting.

Re: ebay mini starter need feedback
Nipondenso is not the the normal starter on GM's...at leas of the 3rd gen era. As for starters, the stock style unit is enough for a mild 383 with under 11:1 compression (at least mine was). 4th gen Vettes used Bosch starters that looked very simular to the ND style. Check your local parts store for a 90-91 Vette starter, it may be cheaper (unless they hit you hard for a core charge). Otherwise Summit and Jegs both have upgrade starters for $120.

Lookout for cheapo chinese-made knockoffs of name-
brand starters and other parts-you don't want that crap
on your car.

Re: ebay mini starter need feedback
yeah power isn't really an issue as opposed to the size, i should have installed a mini last time i replaced the original and i could have avoided this current headache of removal. with my exhaust im unable to remove starter only way is to disassemble the A arm and spindle and removed through there, the mini starter should save me time and headaches further down thanks 4 the responses

I couldnt say that i have experience with that exact starter, but the cheapo chinese made starter have spawned several "my starter doesnt fit right" threads around here. I have also seen first hand poor machining that doesnt allow them to bolt up right. Usually results in either poor life of starter or destroyed ring gear on flywheel/flexplate.
