not cranking? or not starting? not cranking seems to be either a bad battery, bad starter, or more than likely you wired up the switch incorrectly

Make sure you are in park. You wont believe how many people will call my work and say their car wont start I go there with a jump pack and they dont have it in park.

Check how you wired the reverse lights switch, because if its wrong, then even though its in park visually,it wont start as the ignition thinks it is in reverse,if that makes sense.

I checked the starter and battery, thats good. As for starting it in park i took off the shifter cable and manualy put the trans in park and neutral, still dident start. All the wiring im 98% sure its correct, ill take another look at it though.

Do you have alarm system? If you do it will not start if you disconnected battery. Happened to me after alt installation. Cure was disconnect - cable turn key to on position reconnect cable then start.

Re: B&M Mega Shifter series 80692

Did you ever solve this problem? I've had similar issues with my megashifter. The previous owner said I have to SLAM it into park so it will start. Quite frequently, even while the car is in park, I will have to hit the shifter forward to start her up. I can't decide if it is wiring or if the entire shifter needs to be moved forward a little bit. Let me know if you had any luck.

you have to adjust your shifter cable to where it grabs park all the way.
