Need help choosing heads!!

I am about to rebuild my 350 1990 L98. But I dont know what heads to go with. It is a daily driven car but I run it hard. I am leaning towards the Aluminum L98 heads ported from scoggin dickey for 1200. Any other heads out there that are better for the price? Also I have heard alot about the Vortec heads. Help Please!! Gary

Yes, the flow is way better. I had a set of L98 aluminum heads before my AFR heads, and it seams the AFR aluminum is better quality. My L98 heads were used though, but I could tell it was softer.
AFR has a revised coolant flow path through the head that helps too, the engine runs about 20* cooler with the AFRs over the L98s.
On the AFRs though, for $1250, you are getting a perimeter bolt head, without egr, and with 68cc being the smallest chamber you can get.
In order to get centerbolt, egr, and milling, it will up the cost to what i payed for mine $1595.
But for the money, AFR heads are arguably the best you can buy.

I agree with 87Fake-iroc. AFR has definitely done their homework on sbc heads.
