Cam

What would the performance differences be between these two cams in my car. Sig has mods.

Comp Cams

Range adv dur @.05 lift lobe sep
1200-5200 264/270 212/218 .487/.495 110

Crane Cam
Range adv dur @.05 lift lobe sep
2200-5200 272/284 216/228 .454/.480 112

Which one would be better, the car is a daily driver and i'm trying to squeeze 13.0 in the 1/4. I would be porting the plenum, manifold, and heads when i put it in. The problem is, i dont know anything about cams. What is the range? Does it mean it will idle at 1200?? Anyway, thanks. THe comp cams one was recomended by a guy from comp cams and the crane is from a guy's car on the nethirdgen.org boards who has a similar set up to mine. Thanks.

That is kind of beyond the capabilities of a naturally aspirated but daily driven 305

The thing is, those cams are going to give you wretched low speed driveability. Torque will be bad at low rpm, where you live in daily driving, and power brakes will be non-existent without a vacuum booster.

Getting down to the low 13s will probably require a power adder, like nitrous, supercharging or a turbo.

But such a lumpy cam is reasonably out of the question.

Your standard tranny will allow you to run a Comp Cam XE262 fairly well on the street but brakes can be a problem.
