SLP waste of time

I bought a pair of SLP headers used and was looking to buy the y-pipe from SLP. I ordered the y pipe with cat adapter at a cost of $270.00 (what a rip), but I figured atleast it would stainless. They told me I'd get it in 6 to 10 business days, well 10 days later and nothing, I call them and they say they have none in stock maybe by the end of this week. What bullcrap, I cancelled my order and any future plans to.

you know sometimes companies actually build their own products(like SLP and spohn), so when they get a lot of orders it may take a week or two to fulfill it....such is life. hell, it's been over a month and a half since I ordered my tranny and I'm pissed but there's no way to get it quicker.....

It's kinda ridiculous to get upset over a few day delay. Higher quality companies manufacture their own equipment and this time of year demand is high and frequently stock shortages occur - deal with it.:lala:

You've also got to understand that supply 'on' demand is not always the best way. It may save the company a few bucks, but at the cost of it's clients inconvenience.

Lately Summit Racing has been back ordered on a lot of stuff I needed, so instead of waiting (who the hell knows how long) I go to Jegs, and sure enough they have what I need in stock. Well this kinda sets me into a pattern of going to Jegs first. sooo in the long run it's Summits lose.

I'm off the soap box....

Its not about waiting a little longer for your part but its the fact you were told that you would have it by a certain date, or were told it was in stock and later you find out it was not. I don't mind waiting a month or so but don't tell me you have it and it will ship the next day when you know it will not. I am stationed in Germany and its a way of life over here, if they say Monday you might as well tack on another week min.
