SLP Injectors for Stealth Ram

Hey ! I am just finishing my 383 project and I am shopping for injectors. I was going to get set of 24#s, Some one recomended I grab a set of the SLP 25# injectors which are on sale for $99. However on the slponline.com website it says that these will not fit Tpi. They work for every thing else though. Has anybody ever used them on a sleath ram? Will they fit? Any other suggestions? Thanks as allways-Mike

If I recall, I thought tpi_roc used those on his TPI setup before switching to LT1. I'd call SLP and ask why they don't think they will fit.

I bought mine from SLP and used them in my old HSR. They work fine. When I went to order them though, I told them my engine and this and that, they would not sell them to me at first, I had to convince them I wanted them and they said if they did not fit I could not return them. They fit.

Well, I spoke to SLP today. Called their "Tech" line. No good info except that the SLP 24#ers will not fit TPI because they are too short and they may leak and cause a fire. They don't know if their injectors will fit the Stealth Ram or not. Not much "tech" there.

Right.. Well. I dunno. I know the fords are a hair too long and require shimming the rails. maybe the lt1's are too short, but, i've yet to hear of a leak.

However, all it takes is one car to leak and catch fire for them to be sued so. I can see their reasoning for saying they wont work.

The Fords are too long? Oops then, I installed mine without shimming the rails. I did notice that they were longer, but I didn't think it would have a negative effect on anything.

What size shim is needed for the SVO 24#'s?

When I had TPI I used little rubber gaskets. Basicly, if the injector rotates easily, its fine, if its too tight, it needs a small shim.

Okay, thats good then because I didn't have any problems moving my injectors when I was plugging them back in after the swap.
