Superram base question

I scored a Superram base off ebay (new), but it didnt come with the original box or anything. I know I will have to modify my coil bracket to work, but there are some ports on the SR that are not on my stock base. I assume I can just plug these, but my big question is about the large hole by the distributor. It looks like it would need some kind of block off plate, and was curious if this plate normally comes with the base, or if I have to fab something up. Maybe there is a good place to buy a block off plate? There are also some small holes in-between the injector bosses. What are these for? I am going to use my stock runners and plenium for now, with some mild porting to both. If anyone else has used just the SR base and has some input to some of the "extra" holes and such, I would really appreciate some input. I will try and get some pics up of what I am talking about. Thanks.

The holes near the distributor are probably the EGR port for Corvette-style EGR. The base is made to fit both thirdgen f-bodies and vettes. If there is an EGR block-off under the plenum you could relocate that plate to block the vette location & mount your EGR where it normally goes. I haven't looked closely at my base for a while so I'm not sure what holes you're talking about between the injectors. It would help if you could post some pics with arrows pointing to the features you have questions about.

Edit: when I got my base the walls between intake runners at the heads were really thin in some areas so I had it welded up. I was concerned that there wasn't enough material to seal on the gasket. You may want to check yours as well before you install it.

I don't have that extra EGR port on my Accel base... I bought mine about 4-5 years ago,

In fact, I think Shawn87gta ran the GP through Rich. I shoulda went with the SR upper too, instead of just the runners. Oh well.

I don't recall what the smaller holes were for, I'll pop my hood later on and take a look.

The upper white circle should be plugged it is just there because that’s how it was machined; it leads to the PCV inlet. The bottom white circle is for EGR on corvette heads which don't have an EGR crossover in the head.

Are the small holes between the injectors threaded? I believe those are for some type of hold downs. Again I think it applys to Corvettes. I would have to go look at mine I can't remember if the holes are there or not.

Yes those small holes are threaded. I didnt think I needed em, but wanted to know what they were for.

Thanks for the TPIS info. That was exactly what I needed, and ordered one today. I think I have everything worked out, so now just waiting on a few things and I can put this all back together. Thanks alot.
