That intercooling pipe looks wicked! Where did you get that 90° elbow that connects to the TB? That is exactly what I need.

The elbow or the actual hat? The hat is a vortec item from a truck. If you rob a truck of the TB and hat you have a decent centermount monoblade IMO.

The elbow is from Vortech superchargers. Its a 3", tight radius plastic elbo. Has little ribs on the ends too so the hose doesn't blow off. They're like $30 bucks though.

I couldn't PM the picture. I have the throttle body and air filter taken care of. I finally made a temporary decision. All I have left to do is drill the intake and a few other steps. Here is how I am coming:

Where did you get that elbow on top of your intake manifold? Since I don't have any hood clearance left I am stuck using a 1" open element air cleaner on top of my Holley. An intake duct like yours would be sweet.

It is a vortec throttlebody hat designed for a vortec throttlebody.

Craig moates had a real low profile hat for a standard carb / throttle body. PM him if your looking for one.

Hows the LS1 throttlebody working out for you?

My tune is coming close. Still some issues here and there. I might take you up on that offer to use the wideband soon if I can't get this straightened out with the narrowband.

Hey joe, the LS1 TB looks great! I modded the linkage a bit, and used some plugs on the IAC. I am just waiting on the adapters and air filter to setit all up. Hood clearance on the vette is going to be tight, but I think it will work out beautifully.

Let me know about the wideband, its sitting on my desk right now.

Thanks again!

Glad its working out for ya! I've got all kinds of junk floating around the shop.

I'm gonna try a new tune tomorrow. I started from scratch again on my spark advance table. Gonna see if it gets rid of the surging.

Another weird thing. When I back off, instead of the BOV making a wooshing sound, it makes a farting sound.. Like its a studdery woosh. Wonder why.

Sticking would cause that symptom.
Too hot, bent shaft, tweaked spring, stuff in it....
Nice job btw.

Has anybody tried one of these elbows? It seems like it is a little tighter, and possibly more expensive than a Vortec elbow.
