Intake Help
I am having trouble deciding on an intake. I'm using the pro topline 220cc heads and have read that the only thing that will bolt up to them is the miniram. Is this true? Has anyone port matched a HSR to the 1206 gasket yet? I'm pretty sure it can't be done with a converted LT1 setup.
If the port on the head is carried all the way out to a 1206 opening, there won't be enough material for the StealthRam to seal properly without welding up the intake flange and having it surfaced.
The FIRST Injections unit has no trouble going out to a 1207, so the 1206 port is a cake walk. Depends on what you intend for the combination whether or not the large long tube runner intake would be a good choice.
If you're not after a boat load of torque, you might want to check out the new Edelbrock Victor EFI intake,, haven't had my hands on one yet, but I would expect they could be taken out to a 1206.

My engine is all hp and not so much torque. Long runners will not work otherwise i'd use the factory setup. I went ahead and bought a LT1 intake for $25 that i'm going to try to convert. I know that one will require aluminum to be added to the intake ports.

Mine isn't converted yet. :-( I'm in the process of port matching it. Mine didn't come with fuel rails or the crossover line either.

Is www.lt1intake.com your site? Are you the one that does these conversions?

Darn! I can't get ahold of him. I've been wanting to talk to him about a conversion for me but have since come across one on ebay with everything i need except for matching 1206 ports :-)
