You can build this way too.

Hi guys,

I did take the time to build my engine and the HSR injection in 3D not that it is 100% accurate but very close to it.

Look if you like!

I did use SolidWorks 2006

At my site you can find more pictures.

Re: You can build this way too.

Hi,

Like I say above, I did use Solid Works 2006 to make this 3D picture.
It is just a build up of parts (Assembly) just like the original engine.
No internals are modeled that would be a huge job.
It has take around 40 hours to build the engine, bellhousing and gearbox.

Hi Pocket,

Thanks!

I have done my best, but I have work with several pictures to get some dimensions.
If you will do for 100% for every dimension it will take ages and I don't need such accuracy.

Let say that the important dimensions where check, like the height or the length of engine, the position of the gearbox support and total length of the assembly.

The distributor is 100% I did measure one that I have here at home.

Regards,
Cobra289

PS
Check the top picture I just did update the gas cable bracket. (100% dimensionally)
I did use AutoCAD to import the sketch.

Want an accurate set of heads?

I sat them on my lap and measured them with a caliper

I just noticed how the alt was just floating there
Needs a bracket and a tensor

Hi Pocket,

That would be a huge job to do it. Thanks for the offer!
The sectional dimension of the heads is OK and the exhaust ports and threads are for 100% (AFR)

Yes I need to do the Tensioner and the support bolt of the Alternator.
But the water pump needs to be re-done because this is totally wrong.

I have an old pump at the garage (20 minutes from home) so once I will take the pump home and make the 3D more accurate at that place.
The water pump connection points at the engine are OK.

Re: You can build this way too.

Very cool indeed!
I started to make a model to show my driveline angles and that was enough to drive me nuts.
That is a great rendition. (And it looks fast too!)

Re: You can build this way too.

Hi JP,

Thanks!
You know how cold and dark is now in Holland.
So I use my time to make some nice things.
If I can help you with something let me know.

Long time ago I did start building 3D model of the car but a couple of weeks I did build the new fuel tank and pump hock-up, so I did get enthusiasm and decided to build the driveline.

As you can see I have the 24# Ford injectors I will keep it till I do some runs and see that I need to change and for witch ones.

I have got a week ago my Prominator that is update to the PRO version.
Need to test it but right now I am not in condition to do it.

Regards,
Cobra289 (Carlos)
