Can this work????
Ok I have holley tbi setup on a vortec 350 and it runs great mid 13's on street tires I want to go mpi with a single plane and my tbi base kinda like the edelbrock convertion that uses your stock ecm and you just splice the 8 injector harness in to your stock 4 wire's that went to your 2 injectors can I use tpi fuel rails injectors and some other parts on a sigle plane intake and my tbi base and just tune it and it work just the same as the edelbrock convertion setup?
Re: Can this work????
I dont believe a TBI ECU can drive 8 injectors from what I heard. I think you have to swap out the ECU and do some wiring. maybe a search will provide more info.

Re: Can this work????
Thats what I have allways been told but edelbrocks convertion kit says you use your stock ecu and they supply a custom prom.
Re: Can this work????
That is what Edelbrock says:
Performer Multi-Point EFI Systems are designed for 1987-95 Chevy/GMC trucks with 5.7L & 7.4L engines originally equipped with Throttle Body Injection. These complete systems utilize the stock computer, stock sensors and throttle body unit (without the stock injectors) for a simple and effective conversion to multipoint fuel injection. Fuel is injected directly towards the valve for ideal fuel distribution and efficiency. 50-state street legal on most 1987-95 Chevy/GMC trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles.
These systems are not compatible with passenger car engine management systems.
I wonder why they say that?
Next question is do thay allow you to modify their startup chip or is it locked? If they set it it up for a truck application only it certainly would need to be tweeked. I wonder if emmishion compliance is an issue for them as far as passanger cars and or performance applications?
I feel an EBL'd GM puter and a Edelbrock victor jr port injection system may be a better idea?

Look over at www.dynamicefi.com and take a look at the EBL system. Bob over there has got it to where you can run MPFI off a 747 and he's taught the ECU all sorts of new tricks. Really cool stuff.
