Need an ECU
Hey guys,
I built a motor for my 1991 Z28. Bought the car as a roller. It was originally a 305 TPI motor. After much reading I still don't have a real good grasp of DIY tuning with the 730 ECM. I bought all the Moates stuff but don't feel comfortable burning my own chips. I have been reading about guys having alot of success with the Holley Commander system. I'll be using an HSR, 30lb SVO injectors, 58mm TB, AFR 195 heads, XFI 280 cam around 10-10.5:1 compression and eventually would like to spray the motor. I will be running a T-56 with this combo. Do you think the Commander will fulfill these needs? Also, can I buy just the Commander and a wiring harness for the car (from who?). I have the SD harness that came out of the car but would like to start off "fresh" so hopefully I won't be tracking down electrical Gremlins". Also what sensors will I need?
map(how many bar?),iac,knock,cts,iat,tps?
Thanks

Re: Need an ECU
check out dynamicefi.com. It is also a "self learning" datalog system. Makes a new.bin while you drive that you can look at then flash in.
another highly regarded ECU is the Megasquirt. I would opt for latest edition of it.
I dont see why you cannot buy just the holley ECU? Make certain it is latest edition if on ebay.
