LT4 intake on raised intake runner heads??

Im tossing around some engine ideas to possibly utilise parts I already have and could use some guidance possibly. Is it possible to use a LT4 intake on a standard SBC but with 23 Degree raised intake port heads. I know the LT4 has raised intake runners and i think the same bolt pattern, but im not possitive. I know about the other mods to convert the LT1 intake to a standard SBC as I know they will also aplly. Is anyone else running raised runner heads (aside from vortec style) with EFI/TPI setups?
thanks for any advice

Re: LT4 intake on raised intake runner heads??

I think you could use the Lt4 intake on a set of heads like the GM fastburns as they have a raise runner intake.

Not sure that would be worth while since an LT1 intake on a regular gen I head will provide same performance if not better performance if you use a better head than the fastburns.

Finding LT4 intakes is harder to do than LT1's.

I dont know of any other raise runner heads that one would be using on a street style sbc. AFR had the old 215's and I think trickflow had some at some point. Most dont use raise runner stuff anymore.

Re: LT4 intake on raised intake runner heads??

Yeah but their normal 23 deg stuff is just as potent for a street/strip sbc. They make a good 220cc head that will handle 90% of most street builds. I dont know if the LT4 intake can even be ported to handle a head like the raised runner 245cc heads they have. The intake port may be very large for the LT4 to even cover. That head is a max race head IMO for 400-440+ inch motors turning 7500 rpm or more.
