FIRST Intake
So I just got a FIRST intake with fuel rails and injectors for $120, minus 3 of the runner bolts and in need of new gaskets. Would it be worth the time and effort to install this on a stock 91 TPI firebird, and if so, what kind of gains could I expect. I also have an 87 with a 400SBC that still has all the wiring to convert back to TPI, would it be better to wait til im back in new york and install it on that? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: FIRST Intake
Depends on what you want to use it on, but it will gain power on a stock 91 TPI motor. 20hp is likely I'd say on a 350. 305 may see alittle less gain since it doesnt require as much airflow. I know my HSR swap on my L98 gained a good bit of mph and ET at the track. Seen many bolt on aftermarket TPI setups on stock longblocks do the same thing.
FIRST will support the 400 sbc well too so it can be used on that.
