It's hard to find a company these days that isn't doing that. I was shocked when my scat crank showed up at my house in a box that had made in China printed on it.

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Never said Summit was. You asked if anyone sold it cheaper then Jegs or Summit, the two biggest names in performance parts. If someone is selling braided line cheaper then them, chances are its junk.
But like tuned said, some of summits branded stuff is good. Some of it is even name brand. I bought a summit prop valve years ago for my 55, peeled the summit sticker off and under it was engraved Wilwood.
But some of their stuff is cheap overseas crap.
Like I said. I would not cheap out on fuel line, esp. in a high pressure situation. By the time its on fire, your car will be toast.

Hopefully there not still making the weak ones that snap, don't get cheap with the hose see if its rated to withstand ethanol. There are some parts you shouldn't take risks on brake parts and fuel parts. I'll bring the s'mores lol.

I understand and welcome your input. I'm not against spending a dollar when justified. I don't like to spend extra money just to have a big name printed on my part if there's not any difference in quality.

Johnny, it's tough to tell from your pic, but did you run the stock rubber line from the hard line to the FPR?

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Yes.
Stock feed line into braided Y feeding both rails at the rear.
Out of both rails into regulator. Return on regulator was plumbed right to the stock return line.

Also, look what showed up this morning! I'm going to have it hot tanked monday, then i'll do some minor porting before powder coat.

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Total investment in the fuel rail kit and the regulator is $155. That's a savings of $105 over the Holley kit from Summit and that's not counting the $10 handling fee summit is going to charge.

Thanks. I'm waiting to hear back from a member on some fittings before place my last order. Since buying the regulator my parts list has changed. It has two -8an ports i'll need adapters for.

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
For adapting to the regulator, would you go this route using the stock lines?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fra-460816
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fra-460814
Or this route directly to the regulator with braided line from the stock hard lines?

I'm trying to figure out what injectors are currently in my car. They are solid black and the #'s are either 5p29530 or sp23530.

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
24 will be overkill if your just putting on the hsr, if you are dropping in the 350 113 headed
engine they will work but you need to reprogram your memcal. If its just a hsr swap you should even change to 89 tuning $6e to eliminate the csi and go with bosch 3 injectors those are your oem injectors.

You might want to rewire it back to stock and have the ecm control the fans there set kinda high turn on at 226F.

I've had so many major repairs to do to this car since I bought it that I haven't gotten to the little things yet. But i'm starting on those now and the cooling system is high on the list.

Can anybody give me measurements from the Pro Comp rails (overall length, bolt holes from center to center). I want to know if they'd fit my Accel Pro Ram manifold.

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Edelbrock victor rails will fit for 80 bucks but you'd need external regulator which will run 80-150 depending plus fittings so in the end its not much of an alternative cost wise.
Some are having issues with holley Adj regulators, so a popular upgrade is buick grand national reg by kirban which is billet aluminum and fits the rails fine. 110 bucks or so last i heard. Could buy holley kit with non adjustable reg and upgrade to kirban

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Even in a 3rd Gen I don't think you would have a problem mounting a Aeromotive 13301 on the end of the HSR rail
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/aei-13301/overview/
I plugged the original reg hole in the pass side rail
Line shown from rear port not used ,PO had dual feed to the rails
return line would be only line connected ,out the bottom

Re: stealth ram alternative fuel rails?
Update. I received all my pieces this morning. Initial thoughts on the rails were positive. Besides a couple dings and scrapes they look really good. There was no damage to the finish just a little rough before they were anodized I guess. Overall length is 12 3/8 inches. Distance between mounting holes measured center to center is 8 3/4 inches. That being said I grabbed a spare set of injectors I had lying around and mocked them up. I had no issues what so ever. The injectors fit really tight and I had no clearance issues with the throttle body. Here are some pics. Excuse the extra long bolts. I didn't have time to run to the hardware store for shorter replacements.

, watch the hose vs the connectors and make sure they are designed to go together.
