Hello guys... Is it possible to install a Superram on the engine while the engine is on the engine stand? Its a pain doing it in the car but is there any reason why you can't do it while the engine is out? (fuel lines etc?)

I have done it in and out, takes a bit of extra careful wiggling around certain models wiper motors.
If you want to get silly, bring it in from the bottom like the factory did.

 

Does the SuperRam have the same fuel rail bolt pattern / does the TPIS Happy Hooker fit it?

 

Superram uses the same stock TPI fuel rails. I did it without it installed. It will crush the wiper motor in a heartbeat if you aren't careful.

 

Yes it does. I'm guessing the HH would fit but then you wouldn't be able to install the upper intake on it till after you put it in the car.

 

I will tell you right now if you install the runners without the plenum and tighten it, the plenum holes WILL NOT line up after. You can install the base and fuel rail, but you it is easiest to loosely install the runners and plenum and make sure each bolt grabs a few threads prior to tightening it all down. I have installed my superram 4 times... so I know how to avoid the headaches that make people hate the superram.

 

When I dropped the 383 in my 91, the super ram AND headers were on. No trans in the car tho. From previous experience i removed the wiper motor first. I actually used a couple one inch straps looped under the plenum to hang it on when I put it in
