Any place to get better pricing on Holley EFI?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a terminator X with a 4150, dual sync, and inline fuel pump but damn 2800 is a bit hard to swallow. Anyone know where to get any better pricing than basically MSRP? Summit and Jegs have the same prices that are on Holley's website.

thoughts?

thanks

Re: Any place to get better pricing on Holley EFI?

Apparently very soon Holley is supposed to announce their big seasonal sale(s) and some (not all) items are going to be a good price. I learned this from EFI systems Pro who send out a email A few days ago announcing this. I have the email but I have no idea how to attach it here. I am not sure if the terminator system can be discounted but maybe some of the other stuff can. Email efi system pro or sign up for that newsletter

A sale might push me into a Holley system.

Re: Any place to get better pricing on Holley EFI?

here is the copy/paste from the email Iw as talking about:

Let me distract you for a few minutes from this circus called an election to give you some good news. Traditionally, Holley has done a sales promotion at the end of the year. This sale is always highly anticipated but there is never any assurance in a given year that Holley will offer it again. And most years they don't even announce the promotion until the day they turn it on.

Well, this year things are a little different. And I'm not talking about the election!

Rather than offering a single promotion that lasts roughly 6 weeks, Holley is doing two separate promotions.: Promo 1 lasts from November 20th through December 1st (a Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale.) Promo 2 lasts from December 14th through the end of the year (this year's "HolleyDays" sale.)

Here's what we know: For Promo 1, all EFI systems are excluded. Keep in mind that Holley has always excluded the Sniper and (more recently) the Terminator X so that's no big change. Also excluded are Flowmaster Exhausts, superchargers, Edge programmers, and a few other products that have significant backorders. The rest of the Holley product line is on sale at roughly 11% off the normal price (20% off MSRP.) This includes all kinds of awesomeness, including HyperSpark distributors/boxes/coils, digital displays, sensors, and much more.

Here's what we don't know (yet): For Promo 2, we don't yet know anything about the amount of discount or if there will be any changes to the exclusions. My intuition says Promo 2 will be the same as Promo 1 but applied across different dates. The scuttlebutt is that Holley is leaving the door open for a December price increase but I really don't see that coming.

Here's what you need to know: Whatever happens, EFI System Pro has you covered. While I don't offer this publicly (via FB or any other advertising) I make these promises to you:

-If you buy anything during Promo 1 and the price is lower during Promo 2, I'll rebate the difference to you.

-If you need something before Promo 1, buy it at the current price, and then it goes on sale during Promo 1, I'll rebate the difference to you.

-If you just bought something (Dang!) since November 1, 2020 and that something ends up being on the Promo 1 sale, I'll rebate the difference between what you already paid and the Promo 1 price. Who does that?

The bottom line: If there are any horsepower products you're looking to add to your arsenal then don't wait--buy it before December 2nd! If you find yourself wanting to take me up on any of the offers above just reply to this email and I'll make sure the team applies your rebate. As always, thanks for reading my email. I return you to this year's predictable election debacle. Hang in there!

Re: Any place to get better pricing on Holley EFI?

I have got great deals, but more importantly EXCELLENT customer service, support, and help with setup etc from Gene Borton at mcp. Great guy to deal with.

While it may be tempting to shop for ebay prices on this stuff.. I'd rather spend a few more bucks and know that even 6 months from now that if I have a question, or a problem that someone knowledgable will be available and willing to help me out. And I can say Unoquivicably that Gene at MCP has done all that and more. The gentleman above that posted also has an excellent reputation for pricing and service after the sale. Both quality dealers that want you to be happy, satisfied with your purchase and go faster with reliability!

You may save 100 bucks on ebay, or summit, but you will not get the kind of support that you will need to setup a new efi system.. especially if this is your first stand alone efi system experience. Furthermore, most authorized dealers will have pricing that is very close. I actually spoke to and got quotes from 4 reputable dealers, all were within 75 bucks of each other for a whole hp system with harnesses. Ultimately I went with Gene for his willingness to get me a quote, and get my parts ordered on a friday as he was leaving for a race, He made sure I got my parts by monday. And that impressed the hell out of me.

if you are going with the 4150 throttle body that has 4 injectors vs 8 save your money and just buy the hyper spark dizzy. Now if you meant 4150tb, with an 8 injector single plane then yep, get the dual sync, and seriously consider the ls coil setup. It seems expensive at first. But remember with the dual sync you will have to buy an msd box , as well as a coil, so if making the jump to sequential I wouldn't do what I did with dual sync, and msd box.. just get the dual sync, and go with the ls coils. It's well worth the extra few hundred dollars spent. And if you are talking about a third gen f body, get the in tank pump from walbro, or aem. Usually cheaper, quieter, and more reliable. Being submerged in gasoline actually helps the pump run cooler, and it is a lot quieter.

I figured that I would get the 8 injector unit to make it future proof, I have a mini blower on a 383 stroker now but who knows what the future holds. I have a sumped tank so an external pump for me. For ignition, I already have a blaster and a digital 6 hooked up so that should do me just fine with the dual sync.

Thanks everyone for your comments, sounds like I'll be blowing thru the $2800 but I'll wait to see what the promos will be either way.

I see that you are probably going the 8-injector route, but i JUST got this email half-an-hour ago and figured I would post the info here in case you (or anyone else who is curious) wanted to know about Holley's price drop on the sniper system:

Hi Dave,

I should probably know better than to send you an email here at the end of the day when I'm so tired I'm not seeing straight. But Holley sort of threw us a curve ball on this Holleydays 2020 promotion and I didn't want you to be caught unaware. So pardon my spelling and grammar mistakes.

Nothing actually changed about the HolleyDays 2020 sale itself. It starts Friday November 20th (tomorrow as I write this) and goes through the end of the month. Prices on included items are up to 20% off retail (that's about 10% off our normal website pricing.) While the majority of Holley-brand items are included there are some exceptions (as I mentioned in my last email.)

It's what they added that is going to catch your attention. They call them "Daily Deals" And right out of the box, on day one, right after they exclude all of the EFI systems from the HolleyDays sale they offer one of the most popular EFI Systems they sell, the 550-510 Sniper 4150 Shiny Finish, for $849.95 as a Daily Deal.

How good of a price is this? I can tell you that after paying the shipping and credit card fees we will lose money on every one of these we sell. The daily deal discount applies only to end consumers--no provision is given to dealers. So why, you ask, am I participating? Stubbornness, I suppose. After all, you can go to Holley and buy it at this price but I'd rather not see my friends go to Holley to buy something they could buy from me. Besides, loyalty is a two-way street. You've been so gracious with me that it's my privilege honor these prices.

Friday's Daily Deals are rounded out with the Holley HyperSpark Coil (only $30.95) and the Holley 12.3-inch Pro Dash. If you've ever thought of buying one of these gorgeous displays, today is the day. It is almost $400 off the regular price!

These three items are only at that sale price from 12:00 AM until 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on November 20th. At that point other items replace them. That process repeats itself until the 30th. What's coming? I'll never tell-that will spoil the fun! The idea is to visit our HolleyDays Daily Deals Page every day and enjoy the surprise.

Thanks again for letting me rush an email out to you. Let me know if you have any questions. Oh, and Happy Holidays, Happy Thanksgiving, and (soon) enough Merry Christmas!

I bought my Holley HP system for my FIRST build from Chris @ EFI System Pro. GREAT PEOPLE!

He literally gives you his cell phone number when you order with him so you can call him if you have questions.

-Holley's HolleyDays promo launched and he advertised his stuff 20% off like Holley says, but Holley users "marketing math" to come up with the 20% discount and not actual math and he ended up undercutting the minimum allowed Holley price and had to change all his prices, but he still honored his advertised price and let me order it with an ACTUAL 20% off the price. I KNEW I ordered from the right guy.

He also put together a custom fueling solution for my 79 Corvette as there were no EFI tanks for late C3s then and no one had a drop-in tank option that didn't involve cutting a new hole in my tank.
Almost 2 year later holley basically came out with the same solution as their drop-in kit for C3 corvettes with an almost 100% markup over what Chris put together for me.

Just an outstanding guy to deal with. He even talked me out of using Holley's fuel hose hanger brackets and recommended these 19 cent holders from Home Depot. The Holley Earl's hose clamps were over priced and he said to just order a big bag of Vibrant clamps instead.

If I could just buy EVERYTHING I needed from Chris Myers I'd be a lot happier.
