FIRST TPI fuel lines

I am finishing order of parts for my Sp350/357 crate engine + FIRST Tpi intake and wondering what folks used for fuel line and connectors (90°?) for AFPR (FAST fuel pressure regulator) ? How much line do I need ? Size? which connectors? Part #s? Thanks for all the HELP. Also, if anyone can suggest HEADERS + EXHAUST. I planned on spending $ and gettin nice Dyno Don's or somethin ceramic coated but after reading "dont break in NEW engine with **ceramic coated headers..." I figure i'de just get something to get it done with little hassle as possible. I was thinkin 2460 Hooker shorties(no smog) and American Thunder 172333. Will "Doug's y-pipe" work? The Hooker y-pipe is like $150 more. At this point I just wanna get stuff in and running. I can do long tubes/true duals, 411 pcm, rear end...later on.

Re: FIRST TPI fuel lines

This is what I used when I converted to a StealthRam.
6AN hose for feed and return. If doing it over again I would use PTFE hose (teflon - like nitrous lines) - there was always a faint gas spell with the regular braided hoses. So, hose ends will depending on what type hose you use.

You will need these though:
Earls 9894DBJ – Converts 16mm x 1.5 Stock Fuel Supply Line to 6AN
Earls 9894DBH – Converts 14mm x 1.5 Stock Fuel Return Line to 6AN

I set it up to have the feed line at the rear with the return line for the HSR - you could do the same with the new design rails that come with the FIRST now.

I later converted over to a FIRST with the 1st generation fuel rails (new ones are more like above). I kept the regulator in the same location but the way the old rails were set up, I had to feed it from the front.

Hope the pictures help.

Shortie headers and long-runner FIRST intakes are optimized for very different RPMs... Long tube headers and FIRST intakes are a better intake / exhaust "pairing". I'm not up on thirdgen header options to make specific recommendations.

I like how you attached the fuel pressure regulator directly to the fuel-out side of the fuel rail. I did fuel-in the rear of the passenger side rail, and a reverse "rainbow" shaped bend of the front crossover using Earl's Vaporguard and a single gentle, 90 bend on each side, then I've got a long section of fuel line attached to the driver's rear for fuel-out and it goes over to my Holley adjustable FPR which is mounted on my passenger side fender in my car.

-The differences between our setups makes me ask the question: Does the distance between the fuel rail and the regulator matter for the fuel regulator's ability to do it's job? (mine is probably 6'-8' after the fuel rail.)

Most manufactures suggest keeping the distance as short as possible and that's what I try to do.

This is a pretty good read with input from Brett Crow, Technical Director at Aeromotive
https://www.onallcylinders.com/2017/...ar-the-engine/

That probably doesn't answer your question, but if I had to guess, your set up probably wouldn't see much if any difference moving the regulator closer.

Thanks... I'm tempted to look at making mine very similar to yours now...
